luck!...luck is what?

'I feel lucky to be offered the job of my dream!'

'Lucky you!'

'Oh! Bad luck! - Better luck next time!'

'I am so lucky to have you in my life!'

'It was my luck that I came across that person and managed to get away with the deal!'

All of us, at some point in time, have heard and made such statements...have you really thought what exactly is luck?

There is a phrase that I came across years back - 'luck has a peculiar habit of favoring those who do not depend on it!'

It really makes sense in way...however, it is too elusive to comprehend isn't it?

There is another very interesting quote by Anthony Robbins who says - "the meeting point of preparation with opportunity generates the offspring we call luck."

How true is that - isn't it?

Trivial things - but it is so amazing to come across different perceptions...

letting go and giving up...

Life is beautiful! The bliss of living lies in experiencing the feeling of letting go over giving up. We might have never thought of understanding the difference. I was fortunate enough to be made to reflect, as my Reiki guru very casually narrated it out in one of our classes as pointers. I just could not stop myself from taking them down and putting it up here on my first blog...here it goes:

giving up is quitting; letting go is sweet release

giving up is cries in anguish; letting go is perfect peace

giving up is simple failure; letting go is success & insight

giving up is human; letting go is pure divine

giving up is hard & heavy; letting go is loose & light

giving up is death & sundown; letting go is rising sun

and the best of all - 

giving up is there and over; letting go is just began

Isn't it simple, yet so profound?
